Robert Godlonton

Rob joined EOH, nine years ago to grow the infrastructure and applications development businesses within EOH. He has overseen the rapid growth of these businesses including the Outsourcing business and is now the CEO for the Information Communications and Technology (ICT) division within EOH. Prior to EOH; Rob worked at Dimension Data as Global Sales Operations Manager and contributed significantly to the success of the global account management programme as well as the global sales operations.

He was later promoted to lead Dimension Data’s Global Supply Chain business.  Prior to Dimension Data, Rob held a number of senior positions within the IT industry in the United Kingdom where he lived for 13 years. His roles included: Managing Director of Cedar Consulting, Vice President – Operations of Infogain in EMEA (following their acquisition of Global Technologies which Rob co-founded); and Director for the services division at the former PeopleSoft.

David Bolton

David Bolton joined Qlik in 2008 and is now responsible for the global Industry Solutions and Business Value team. David’s team is responsible for industry go-to-market initiatives spanning sales, solutions, partners and marketing, this includes the development of compelling industry messaging and business solutions, strategic customer engagements and a continual focus on customer value and ROI. The Qlik Industry and Value team includes some of the leading industry analytics experts and strategy consultants whose sole focus is on delivering business value and driving customer success within the analytics economy.

Prior to his Industry Solutions role, David was responsible for all Public Sector sales within UK and Ireland and worked with many of our key NHS customers, supporting programs across patient level costing, OR utilisation and emergency medicine. In the same period, Qlik increased NHS market share by a factor of 10, making Qlik the most common data platform in the market, driving standardisation, best practice and sharing knowledge and solutions between Trusts. Outside of the NHS, David has worked closely with customers in the Police, Local Government and Education markets, building a broad knowledge across the Public Sector and supporting in the delivery of new and innovative programs in these industries.

David has also worked extensively with the Qlik Partner network across many regions, supporting solution development, go to market strategies and sharing best practice across many industry-focussed partners.

Prior to joining Qlik, David founded a startup software company which developed and sold a web content management product into the Public Sector and Corporate markets. David held the position of Sales and Marketing Director for eight years, overseeing year on year growth and attaining a position in the coveted ‘Deloitte Fast 50’ list. Prior to his exit in 2008, the product was deployed in over 100 Public Sector accounts spanning local government, healthcare, housing and not for profit.

David also holds a BSc in Psychology.

Paul Winsor

Paul joined Qlik in 2014 as the Director of Industry Solutions for the Retail and Services industries for the EMEA region.

In his role, Paul engages in consultative sales support with customers and prospects across enterprise, mid-market and other strategic areas. Paul also contributes to the retail industry segment’s go-to-market strategy and business plan, defining key solutions, positioning Qlik products and creating and developing a suite of segment specific sales enablement materials. He is also responsible for raising brand recoginition through sector specific analyst and media relations.

Paul brings to his role over 30 years of experience in the Retail and Business Intelligence sector. This includes 19 years in various data-driven roles at Sainsburys, the UK’s second largest retailer and 11 years in the Business Intelligence sector, helping leading businesses around the world deliver value out of their existing data and discover new big data insights. More recently Paul has helped leading retailers gain ROI from their investment in transformation projects through the use of data discovery strategies.

Niall Gallacher

Niall joined Qlik in 2014 as the Director of Global Market Development for professional services, communications and energy sectors. Niall’s job focuses on deriving value and delivering measurable benefits from Business Intelligence for clients across these sectors. His experience in managing highly complex, large scale projects proves invaluable in handling business transformation and change initiatives for his clients at Qlik.

Beyond these vertical industries, Niall has significant experience developing analytics for large global contact centres which focus on employee performance, quality, training or coaching needs and ultimately delivering great customer experience. Niall has also helped a great many organisations extend their customer experience strategies across omni-channels, using analytics to assess the effectiveness of each channel for various customer journeys. With this wealth of experience, Niall is regularly invited to speak on Customer Experience and HR Analytics at conferences around the world.

In addition to over 25 years of experience in the BI industry, Niall has led a significant BI and managed service solution implementaiton for a large telecommunicaitons operator and executed a number of complex implementations to time and budget for companies in different markets.

Over the past 15 years he has managed a variety of departments that have focused on delivering everything from IT to BI to CRM, Customer Intelligence, Business Transformation and Programme Management.

Illezé Wessels

Illezé Wessels is a qualified Civil Engineer that specialises in Transportation Engineering. She completed her BEng (Civil) engineering degree in 2013 at the University of Pretoria and was then granted a bursary by the University of Pretoria (UP) to further her studies towards her BEng (Hons) and MEng in the Transportation Engineering field from 2014 to 2017.

During this time, she was also employed by Tracker Connect Pty Ltd as a Product Specialist from February’16 to February’17 where after she was employed as an Engineer (Data/Scientist) in their Business Intelligence (BI) division from March’17 until present. She is passionate about new innovative technologies and developing models that would provide useful insights to clients pertaining to their specific business needs / requirements.

She strives to find solutions for real-life problems by combining solid engineering knowledge and available data. She has already published and presented some of her research findings at the Southern African Transport Conference (SATC) in 2014 and at the 4th International Chinese European Workshop (CEW) on Functional Pavement Design in 2016 in Delft, Netherlands. She has also written a journal article soon be published in the International Journal of Pavement Engineering (IJPE) by Taylor & Francis.

Jeroen Gerritsen

Jeroen started his career in IT as an Oracle developer involved in building Custom apps for Financial companies. Since 2013 Jeroen has started as Managing Director at In4BI and their core business is to provide Governance and Collaborative solutions that enable Customers to be more flexible. Martin Messing

Educated as being a teacher I started my professional career in the Health and Youth care.

In the nineties I switched to a big publishing company in the Netherlands where I was responsible for management of all BI reporting which was implemented using SAP/BusinessObjects.  During the project we hired external consultants to convert existing reports to Analyses dashboards and I was confronted on almost daily basis with the versioning and governance problems we ran into.

After this I joined a company that was developing solutions versioning and deployment of BusinessObjects components. During this Job I got to meet many people from Enterprise organizations who also experienced issues with governance and managing their BI Applications. In 2013 two of my former colleagues and I started In4BI, the company I’m currently working for.

As senior consultant I’m involved in implementations, training, support and product development.

Jeff Fletcher

Systems Engineer, Cloudera

Jeff Fletcher is a systems engineer at Cloudera, where he helps customers build big data infrastructure. Jeff has been involved in internet technology all his professional life.
Previously, he worked on the initial internet infrastructure team and managed aspects of the Johannesburg Beltel installation at Telkom; designed and implemented new internet products and services at Sprint (which became UUNET which became Verizon Business); founded Antfarm Networking Technologies, South Africa’s first streaming and webcasting company; and led the product development team at Internet Solutions (then IS).
He does occasional consulting for corporate companies looking to move beyond pie charts. Jeff was shortlisted for an Information is Beautiful award in 2015. He is the creator of limn.co.za, a blog dedicated to the art of data visualization. Jeff holds a degree in electrical engineering from Witwatersrand University.

Tony Bell

Martin Cameron is a founder and director of TRADE Research Advisory (PTY) Ltd and an associate of the TRADE (Trade and Development) research entity located at the North-West University, Potchefstroom, South Africa. Martin holds a master’s degree in economics (cum laude) from the same university and is currently enrolled for PhD studies in international trade.Martin is a specialist in the field of quantitative decision support modelling and business intelligence, economic impact analysis and engineering management, with a keen interest in international trade and energy economics.

In 2015 he was also appointed by the Director-General of the South African Department of Trade & Industry (the dti) as a member of the economic research advisory network (ERAN) comprising of representatives from the national & provincial economic development government departments, government entities, universities & research institutions.

In this context Martin led a team that assisted the Department of Trade and Industry (the dti) with the development of a comprehensive strategic framework and action plan for the export development and promotion of South Africa’s services sectors.

TRADE Advisory’s flagship offering is the TRADE-DSM (Decision Support Model) Navigator® which is an analytical tool that identifies realistic export opportunities for both export-ready and active exporting companies that wish to expand their sales reach into foreign markets. Roger Knocker

Director, KPI Management Solutions

Roger is a Chartered Accountant and management consultant with extensive experience in corporate performance management, business intelligence and GRC. He is one of two certified KPI Professionals in Africa with the KPI Institute.

He is passionate about working with clients to improve their performance at an individual, process or organisational level. He has strong expertise is deploying large, complex and challenging enterprise wide solutions.

In 1992 Roger passed the CA board exam on the first attempt and went on to complete his articles with Coopers & Lybrand, after which he was appointed to an audit manager position. He gained experience in the financial services industry and managed audits in six different sectors.

Roger moved to the Nampak corporate head-office he was responsible for the financial statements, tax returns, budgets, forecasts and statistical returns for half of the Nampak group. During this time he led a program to automate most of the reporting process using Hyperion technology. After the success of the program, he was appointed as the Group Knowledge Management System Manager reporting to the head of IT. In this position he introduced the group to business Intelligence and lead many operational and enterprise initiatives to provide better management information. He also delivered continuous business monitoring solutions in support of the group-wide ERP implementation.

In 2006 he was appointed to Group Business Optimisation Manager where he was responsible for leading the organisation to extract business value from the Group’s ERP deployment. He created the demand, know-how and infrastructure for initiatives using Business Intelligence, Balanced Scorecards and LEAN Six Sigma. The group benefited from quantifiable financial benefits during this period.

In 2008, he started KPI Management Solutions which provides CPM, BI and GRC solutions to a broad spectrum of private, listed and public sector organisations including three of South Africa’s largest banks. In this role, he developed strong entrepreneurial skills to compliment his corporate skills.

Anthony Wilson

Anthony Wilson works with CFOs / CEOs to unlock hidden profits through progressive data analytics, integrated planning, and practical scenario modelling.

Anthony holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and Information Systems. He is a certified QlikView professional and an entrepreneur.

Anthony’s has built his career consulting in the Corporate Performance (CPM) and Business Intelligence (BI) field. He started his career in 2001 as a junior consultant, working with the Hyperion set of products. By 2004 Anthony has been promoted to a senior consultant.

In 2004 Anthony moved to another consulting firm, to consult in the Corporate Performance Management field using the Cognos set of products. Anthony came into the position as a senior consultant.

In 2006 Anthony was asked to lead the implementation of an enterprise wide budget solution at one of South Africa’s big 5 banks. Post the success of the project Anthony was promoted to the position of Consulting Manager.

In 2008, Anthony was involved in starting KPI Management Solutions which helps organisations drive performance through integrated planning, smart scenario modelling, and business processes optimisation. KPI Management Solution’s has implemented many successful business intelligence and performance management solutions in a number of reputable companies including Barclays. During these years, Anthony has learnt the benefit of understanding organisation’s data, processes and people. Both within KPI Management Solutions and he’s clients, Anthony has assisted in improving the efficiency of the organisations and ultimately their Profitability.

John Paul Kirton
